It has been a year since I left college. Some of my fellow graduates are now considering leaving their jobs to return to the treacherous world of academia. I personally have no interest in returning to school to receive a higher degree, but who knows what my future will hold. All I know, is some of the following stats scare me. Enjoy!

After a few redesigns, opting to self-host and becoming albeit obsessed with blogging, I have realized why I enjoy publicly posting my thoughts online. I enjoy blogging because it allows me to flush out an idea, fully understand the product, service, technology, news or other topic I may be writing about, and refocus my attention on my work. Blogging is relaxing. I blog for myself.

Everyone turns to LinkedIn for professional networking. Unfortunately their personal contacts – including close friends and family – are part of their Facebook networks. As I have stated previously, “In LinkedIn, you add a ‘connection’ or a ‘contact’ to your networking. In Facebook, you add a ‘friend.’ That says a lot about the difference.
