Dani Ticktin Koplik of dtkResources saw a need to “prepare our newest generation of workers to assume the mantel of leadership in the 21st Century.” The full day, free event is designed to inform attendees about how to take their first step towards a successful and rewarding career.
As a professional speaker and a peer-to-peer mentor for Generation Y students, I was thrilled to be asked to be a guest lecturer at the event. After being approached by Ms. Koplik for my work as the Founder/CEO of eBranding Me, I outlined a speech targeted to the events attendees:
Your Digital Rep
Make it work for you, not against you!
Keith Petri, the Founder/CEO of eBranding Me, will inform attendees about the dangers of damaging their reputations on popular social networking websites. After reviewing the basics of creating and maintaining a positive online presence to aid in one’s job search, Petri will highlight examples of successful and some not-so-successful uses of popular online networking tools. By strategically mixing case studies and current news/trends with a dynamic presenting style and visually appealing graphics, Petri will be sure to inspire students to take responsibility for their online actions.
You will get:
- A full roster of accessible, motivating and informative speakers, starting with our opening keynote by successful entrepreneur and workplace contributor to Good Morning America, Tory Johnson
- Interactive critical skill workshops
- Live interview skill and image demos
- Laser career coaching (resumes, cover letters, management issues)
- Facilitated networking
