The “Weekly Wrap Up” post is published every Friday and highlights the concluding week’s activities and events through text, images and video. I hope you enjoy and encourage you to subscribe via RSS and/or Email.
This past week was very hectic. Between meetings, preparing for upcoming events and reconnecting with business partners and friends after the holiday season, I sent a lot of emails. While I have always emailed with clients, partners, family and friends more than the average person, this week was especially active – sending/receiving just shy of 300 emails.
In doing so, I made an interesting observation: the convenience of having a well-developed email signature. Upon receiving an email from a business partner with a detailed email signature I am able to completely fill out a vcard for him or her. However, the absence of an email signature makes it that much more difficult to quickly connect with them.
I personally use WiseStamp, a browser plug-in (Firefox, Chrome and Safari) that allows users to create personalize HTML email signatures in Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail and Windows Live. Users are able to customize signatures for both personal and business interactions that include everything from a professional headshot or business logo, social networking profile links and applications – i.e. your last tweet, latest blog post, Plancast plans, StumbleUpon links and/or most recent eBay listing.
The free plug-in is available for download and can be setup in minutes. Make your email signature work for you!
WiseStamp Email Apps enable users to transform their emails into a powerful self expression and promotional tool.
